I know it's been EIGHT long months since you've heard from me and you probably wondered if I had disappeared. Well, I didn't!!! Yay!!
Not long after my last blog post back in September, I found out that I'd need a 2nd surgery before we could proceed with radiation treatments for my breast cancer. As soon as I recovered from the surgery, I started driving to Homburg every day to get microwaved. I'm not kidding when I say that Homburg is about halfway to France from where I live. There were days when I was just so exhausted, not just from the radiation, but the driving, too, that all I could do was cry all day. It was awful.
Just as I was starting to feel better from that, the Christmas season arrived along with our beautiful daughter. We spent a few days down in the Bavarian Alps and had some new family pictures taken.
After that it was a trip to Texas to see my parents while my dad went through his own radiation treatments for lung cancer (his last scan showed "no evidence of disease" or "NED" for short...a cancer patient's favorite acronym!). Right after I got back I stepped in a pothole while shopping in France and re-injured the ankle I broke last year. Then, one last (please, Lord!) surgery 6 weeks ago. God willing, I'm finished having surgery related to my breast cancer. Sigh.
Okay, enough of my tales of woe! My craft room is organized and (relatively) clean and it's time to get back to the fun stuff!
