Balloon Talk Creations!

I've been playing around with this month's Stamp of the Month,  Balloon Talk and it's SO fun and super cute!

Here are two cards I created.  For the first one, I was thinking about my daughter who is off at her first year in college.  I layered Lagoon Cardstock on top of a White Daisy card, then topped it with a piece of Lollydoodle background and texture paper.  I took another piece of White Daisy and random stamped the "Miss You" from Balloon Talk all over in Lagoon ink and then used the Round Sponge to sponge Lagoon ink all around the edge.  I took a scrap piece and stamped the girl from Dreamer in Cotton Candy and three of the hearts from that set in Lagoon and Cotton Candy.  I fussy-cut those out using my CTMH Micro-tip scissors.  I love that this month's Stamp of the Month coordinates with our Cricut Artiste cartridge, so I used that to cut out the piece for the "hello" stamp.  Finally, I added some bling with our wonderful Teal Shimmer Trim.

For this second card, I was really dying to try out the embossing folders, so I wanted to do a card where I could incorporate that.  I got this card design from Make it From Your Heart, Volume 2.  I love, love, LOVE the colors in the Skylark paper packet, so I wanted to include that as well.  I used my round sponge to sponge Chocolate ink all around my White Daisy card base.  I cut the Sweet Leaf cardstock and Background and Texture Paper from the Skylark packet according to the pattern.  Next, I put the cardstock through my Big Shot embossing machine using the Quatrefoil Embossing Folder.  I love how it makes the paper pop off the page!  I used the Cricut to cut the piece for the Balloon Talk "thanks" stamp which I stamped in Lagoon ink.  I used my sponge again to dab Sweet Leaf ink onto the White Daisy piece.  Finally, I layered the zip strip from the B&T onto the Kraft cardstock and glued everything together.
